We acknowledge that being a teen in this era is vastly different to what it was many years ago. Academic and vocational expectations play a significant role during this time, and technology has changed how our young people relate to peers. Managing school demands, friendships, family life, social media, sports, work and their own hopes for the future can be a lot to handle. As we know, during these identity building years, our young people go through a lot of physical and emotional changes, their brain is not yet fully developed which can make reasoning, decision-making and logic difficult to access. The constant level of stimulus can make emotional regulation a difficult task, and mental health concerns are at an all time high.

We believe it is crucial for adolescents to receive appropriate support while navigating these wild waters, in order to thrive in their future goals and in adulthood.
